Jimi Hendrix' 65th Birthday - Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007

Join Dominick of Electric Candle and Dave of Dave's Record Collection on Saturday, December 1, for a six hour celebration of what would have been Jimi Hendrix's 65th birthday. Tune in to hear Jimi's musicianship at its finest, from the popular to the rare and obscure, as well as interviews and masterful covers by a number of artists influenced by Hendrix's work.

It's sure to be a sonic "experience" as only Jimi himself can dish out, so tune to 88.1FM or listen online beginning at 3:00 PM! "Turn on, tune in, and let us groove."

Bryan Massoff 1986-2007

As many already know, we lost a valued and beloved member of the WMUC Radio family this past October. Bryan Massoff was a junior at the University of Maryland and a DJ here at WMUC for the past two years. Many friends and fellow DJ's have been dedicating songs and shows in memory of his life, and his Monday night slot Moroder Lives at 10 p.m. will keep the same name through rest of the semester. The members of WMUC Radio sends its thoughts and prayers to friends and family.

Thank you Bryan. Your friends at WMUC will never forget you.

Golf Special Report

This Saturday, WMUC Radio will be broadcasting a special look at the non-profit Golf organization The First Tee, which provides free golf lessons and life lessons to kids across the country. The story, presented by Terp Weekly Edition's Laura Callahan, will precede the Maryland vs. Virginia football this weekend. The pre-game show begins at 7:30 on, 88.1-FM in College Park, and will feature the story.
