The indie pop/rock group Harbour will be “swimming in your head” when they arrive at DC9 Nightclub on Dec. 4, following the release of their new single.

Harbour is currently touring in the U.S. with indie pop artist Wingtip and opener Lisa Heller, their third stop being Washington D.C. With an already sold out show and the simple yet effective statement, “Let’s have some fun,” on the band’s tour page, Harbour sets expectations high for an unforgettable night.

Since the group’s formation in 2014, Harbour has produced three albums, an EP and eight singles, including their newest addition, “Swimming in My Head.” Over the years, Harbour has established a fun, easygoing style paired with meaningful lyrics, which is appealing to both fans and strangers to the band. The Cincinnati, Ohio based group has been busy this year with multiple performances and the release of their singles, “Bahamas,” and, “Sleepyhead.” I suspect Harbour’s upcoming, 13 show tour will feature a variety of their most popular songs like, “Float,” and “Get You High,” while the band brings attention to their newer releases as the group’s fourth album is expected for release in early 2023. Maybe fans will even get a sneak peak of the new album when Harbour makes its way to D.C.

Nick Perloff-Giles, known by his stage name Wingtip, creates music characteristic of his wide variety of experience in the music industry. Moving from playing guitar in rock bands while still in high school, to creating electronic music using computer programs and even composing for artists like Céline Dion, Perloff-Giles incorporates these experiences in his work, creating a catchy assortment of both acoustic and electronic indie-pop tracks that are sure to have listeners grooving along.

After making his start under the moniker in 2015, Wingtip steadily released singles up until 2020 when he debuted his first album, All Your Friends Are Here. Earlier this year the artist released the EP, Everything Forever, a mellow collection of upbeat melodies and hazy vocals with lyrics that walk listeners through the aftermath of a breakup.

With dynamic artists who never seem to stop progressing in the creation of their music, I am excited to see what Wingtip and Harbour have in store for fans during their upcoming tour. While the bands’ show in D.C. is sold out, tickets for other tour cities are available here.
