The Fields Festival is more than your average music festival. It’s a celebration of Baltimore arts. The festival showcases the city’s biggest talents in not just music, but also film, poetry, recreation, wellness and more. Baltimore’s big names like Future Islands and Dan Deacon are performing, but what makes Fields so special is that it provides you with so many options you might forget to make it to those sets. There are over 70 other musical artists across a variety of genres, and a variety of different vendors and installations to make it to. Highlights include Lower Dens, Sun Ra Arkestra, Deakin (of Animal Collective), Wolf Eyes, Mild High Club, Julianna Huxtable, and more.

Starting today, Friday August 19th and running through the weekend, Fields is packed with experiences. You can expect to listen to music, watch films, play kickball, or find some other interesting experience for every hour it’s open, across the whole 60-hour event. The festival offers only weekend passes, which means attendees must set up camp for the whole weekend and immerse themselves in all Fields has to offer.

Keep an eye on the WMUC Twitter and Instagram accounts, where DJs Hannah and Alex will be posting at the festival throughout the weekend. You can still buy tickets for the Fields Festival online or at the door. The festival takes place in Darlington, MD, August 19-21.
