Preview: LANY Takes The Stage With The gg bb xx Tour

Dreampop band LANY, known for hits like “ILYSB”, “Mean It”, and “Malibu Nights'', kickstarted their tour for their newest album gg bb xx on September 17th at life is beautiful festival. Now at The Anthem in DC this Saturday, October 9th at 7:00 PM, the four-man group will be showcasing new songs like “dancing in the kitchen” and “up to me”, which have already accumulated over 42 million streams on Spotify since the album’s release on September 3rd!

Standing for “Los Angeles New York”, Paul Jason Klein, Charles Leslie "Les" Priest, and Jake Clifford Goss have been producing music since 2014. They’ve toured with the likes of Troye Sivan, Halsey, the X Ambassadors, and have also performed at festivals like Firefly (look out for our upcoming recap of the festival soon!) and Lollapalooza.

LANY’s sound is catchy and fun but also has the ability to make you cry over a breakup that never occurred. Alot of listeners can agree that the band does a great job at inciting traditional teenage feelings while also bringing out new sounds along the way. Like many other artists, LANY is coming out of the pandemic with lyrics and melodies that were just itching to be let out of online music sessions.

Opening for the band will be Houston native keshi, who was recently featured on the soundtrack for Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and is well-known for his lofi-beats in conjunction with RnB and heart-wrenching lyrics. There’s no doubt that fans of both keshi and LANY will be feeling the full range of human emotion during the gg bb xx tour, and we can’t wait to be a part of it!
