Amid a war raging between Russia-Ukraine, the new SCOTUS justice confirmation, and Biden’s latest groundbreaking proposed billionaire tax, Obama’s wunderkind speechwriters-turned-seasoned political commentators are returning to D.C. for a live rendition of what they promise is a “no bullshit conversation about politics.”
Hosts Tommy Vietor, Jon Lovett, and Jon Favreau will be at The Anthem on April 14th for a live taping of “Pod Save America” as part of their (A)live and On Tour event.
In line with the show's tradition of inviting industry experts, celebrities, and political leaders, they’ll be joined by some exciting special guests. Next Thursday’s roster includes political strategist and former Chief Spokeswoman for Vice President Kamala Harris, Symone Sanders, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, and comedian Mike Briglia, of sleep-jumping two stories out of a La Quinta Inn fame. With Sanders’ recent exit from the VPOTUS' office, and rumors swirling that Psaki will be leaving her high-profile White House position soon for a gig with MSNBC, the night is sure to drum up some exciting D.C. insider chatter.
“Pod Save America,” which has easily become host to one of the most popular and accessible policy discussions of the era, airs new episodes every Tuesday and Thursday. Published by Crooked Media, they’re affiliated with other successful shows, such as “Pod Save the World” and “Love It or Leavitt”, a side project of Jon Lovett.
Their latest episodes range anywhere from a look at the newest updates from the Jan. 6th investigation, Sarah Palin’s budding Congressional bid, Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorne’s allegations of cocaine fueled orgies in the GOP, and the latest Supreme Court drama (if you can call threats to one of our most valued and critical institutions “drama”).
With their intimate insider look, whip-smart banter and refreshing ability to make political discussions not want to make you walk right into afternoon beltway traffic, the return of D.C.’s prodigal sons is one you can’t miss.
Tickets are available on The Anthem's website now, ranging $25.00 - $175.00. Doors will open at 6:30, the show begins at 8:00. And in the meantime, you can find episodes of Pod Save America streaming now wherever you get your podcasts.
