It might be January, but it’s always summer vibes and good times with Magic City Hippies. Hailing from Miami, the trio first started playing music together as part of the Robby Hunter Band in 2013. With groovy vibes and a poolside feel, they went on to form Magic City Hippies in 2015 with their debut EP, Hippie Castle. This marked the breakout of their career, with hits like “Limestone” and “Fanfare” receiving millions of streams. The band went on to tour, performing at festivals like Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits, bringing their house party vibe to thousands of fans.

Magic City Hippies will be in DC on January 15th at 9:30 Club as part of their Winter Tiger Tour, with support from the duo, CAPYAC. CAPYAC formed in 2015 as a project of P. Sugz and Potion, with their debut album, Movement Swallows Us. They are known for their expansive shows which go beyond music and have included miming, sketch comedy, and even cooking. In excitement for this tour, CAPYAC has even remixed Magic City Hippies’s single, “High Beams”

With Magic City Hippies sun-kissed sounds, you’re gonna want to warm up from the winter chill with their show. Tickets to their 9:30 Club show are available here.
